LOL.....Curious GEORGE what trouble have u gotten into NOW


About 300 demonstrators began throwing shoes at the entrace of the Queen Elizabeth Hotel around 11:30 Thursday monrning ahead of a speech by former U.S President George W. Bush during a luncheon at the hotel. Traffic was blocked in both directions on Rene Levesque Blvd. as the Montreal police tactical sqaud positioned itself to control the crowd.

The demonstraors included university students, political activitists such as the Raging Grannies, and various left-wing supporters.

They were blowing whistles and chanting in an effort to drown out his speech.

"A lot of objects were thrown at police, but no one was injured on either side," Montreal police Constable Raphaƫl Bergeron said.

Police have also arrested two demonstrators for disturbing the peace.
